Travel Guide: Choosing the Right Days for Your Journey

Vedic Astrology identifies auspicious and inauspicious days for travel based on the Moon’s transit through different signs, nakshatras, and weekdays. To ensure a pleasant journey, whether for a holiday or work, choose the right combination of weekday and nakshatra.

Astrology-based travel guide showcasing destinations aligned with zodiac signs, offering personalized travel suggestions based on astrological insights to enhance spiritual and personal experiences.

Typically, nakshatras such as Ashvini, Rohini, Mrigashira, Punarvasu, Pushya, Magha, Hasta, Anuradha, Moola, Shravana, Dhanishtha, Uttarabhadrapada, and Revati are deemed favorable for travel.

During the waxing phase of the Moon (between new moon and full moon), the lunar days 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, and 13 are considered auspicious.

Days outside these periods are generally avoided for long-distance and business travel. Additionally, specific Ascendants (rising signs) and lunar days (tithis) are recommended for travel in certain directions to achieve successful outcomes.

For emergencies or short-distance trips (where you can return home the same day), these guidelines can be relaxed.

Understanding Abhijit Nakshatra

Abhijit, located in the sidereal Capricorn, is known for its auspicious qualities. Although it is not frequently mentioned in mythology, Moon’s transit through Abhijit is considered favorable. It falls between the nakshatras Uttara Ashādhā and Shravana and signifies victory and an auspicious time for important tasks.

Important Note

The Vedic weekday starts at sunrise. For accurate travel predictions, check the Moon’s nakshatra at the exact time of your travel’s commencement. For example, if traveling at 6:05 AM on Wednesday with the Moon in Hastha nakshatra until 6:25 AM, and the local sunrise is at 6:20 AM, your travel would be under Tuesday’s influence with Hastha nakshatra, leading to comfort. Starting at 6:21 AM would mean the combination of Wednesday and Hastha, leading to happy and victorious outcomes. Starting at 6:26 AM shifts the result to Fear of Death and Accidents with Chitra nakshatra.
